Privacy Policy
Version 1.4- We collect what Rally needs to match you with people from your club, nothing more.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics, and we never sell your data.
- We do collect crash reports so we can fix bugs.
- Delete your account and your data any time in Settings.
Account
Your email address, or the private relay address from Sign in with Apple, to sign you in and contact you about your account. If you continue with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture address from Google, and use only your email and first name.
Website waitlist
If you join the waitlist on rallyapp.ca, we keep your email address and, if you give it, your city, only to tell you when Rally launches near you. We never share it or use it for anything else. To be removed, email support@rallyapp.ca.
Profile
First name, birth date, sports, level, goal, when you train, optional stats and badges, an optional bio, and an optional usual spot (a public place). Your birth date is used only to confirm you’re 18 or over and to show your age; the date itself is never shown.
Sensitive information
Your gender and who you want to see (men, women, or everyone). This can reveal your sexual orientation. It’s used only to decide who appears in Discover, session lists, and matches, in both directions. It’s never shown on your profile.
Photos
The 3 to 6 photos you choose. They’re resized, and location data is removed, before upload. A person reviews each photo before anyone else can see it.
Approximate location (optional)
Only if you turn on distance. Your phone shares an approximate position, which we round to about 1 km. Other people only ever see a band like “Under 5 km”, never your location. Turning distance off deletes the stored position.
Club activity
Sessions you sign up for and check in to. Check-ins decide who you can see from each session.
Likes, passes, matches, and messages
Who you like or pass, your matches, and your messages, so the app works. Only you and your match can read your chat. If either of you unmatches, the match and the whole chat are deleted for both of you.
Safety reports and blocks
Reports you file and people you block. When someone reports a message, we keep a copy of that message with the report, even if its sender later deletes their account, so we can act on it.
Notifications (optional)
If you turn on notifications, a device token so we can tell you about new matches and messages. Message text never appears on your lock screen.
Crash reports
When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a technical report: what went wrong in the code, the app version, and the phone model and iOS version. Reports don’t include your name, email, account ID, messages, or photos, and they’re used only to fix bugs.
Who we share with
Our service providers, only to run Rally: Supabase (database, sign-in, file storage), Expo (sending notifications), Apple (Sign in with Apple and notifications), Google (Continue with Google, if you use it), Resend (sign-in emails, and emails to our safety team about reports), and Sentry (crash reports). We don’t share data with advertisers or data brokers.
Deleting your data
Delete your account any time in Settings. It permanently removes your account, profile, photos, likes, passes, matches, messages you sent, and notification tokens. Reports, including copies of reported messages, are kept to protect other members. If you entered a birth date under 18, your email stays blocked from signing up again.
Age
Rally is only for people 18 and over.
